چکیده

i Conventional distributed adaptive routing strategies usually work well for packet switch ng networks only in the absence of link/node failures. However, they cannot avoid looping messages for an extended period in case of link/node failures. In this paper, we develop a multi-order routing strategy which is loop-free even in the s presence of link/node failures. Unlike most conventional methods in which the same routing trategy is applied indiscriminately to all nodes in the network, nodes under the proposed strat o tegy may adopt different routing strategies in accordance with the network structure. We no nly develop the formulas to determine the minimal order of a routing strategy for each node i to eliminate looping completely, but also propose a systematic procedure to strike a comprom se between the operational overhead and network adaptability. Several illustrative examples are

Output Serialization for FPGA-based and Coarse-grained Processor Arrays

This paper deals with the mapping of loop programs onto processor arrays either implemented in an FPGA or available as (reconfigurable) coarse-grained processor architectures. Usually the proportion of processing elements to I/O-interfaces is much higher whereby problems of data transportation and synchronization are arising. In this realm, we propose a systematic approach in order to feed-out ...

Compact routing schemes with low stretch factor

This paper presents a routing strategy called Pivot Interval Routing (PIR), which allows message routing on every weighted n-node network along paths whose stretch factor (namely, the ratio between the length of the routing path and the shortest path) is at most five, and whose average stretch factor is at most three, with routing tables of size O( √ n log3/2 n) bits per node. In addition, the ...

Simultaneous reduction of emissions (CO2 and CO) and optimization of production routing problem in a closed-loop supply chain

Environmental pollution and emissions, along with the increasing production and distribution of goods, have placed the future of humanity at stake. Today, measures such as the extensive reduction in emissions, especially of CO2 and CO, have been emphasized by most researchers as a solution to the problem of environmental protection. This paper sought to explore production routing pro...

CAFT: Cost-aware and Fault-tolerant routing algorithm in 2D mesh Network-on-Chip

By increasing, the complexity of chips and the need to integrating more components into a chip has made network –on- chip known as an important infrastructure for network communications on the system, and is a good alternative to traditional ways and using the bus. By increasing the density of chips, the possibility of failure in the chip network increases and providing correction and fault tol...

Minimal, deadlock-free routing in hypercubic and arbitrary networks

In this paper we consider the problem of creating minimal, deadlock-free routing algorithms, where a routing algorithm is said to be minimal if it uses only shortest paths. In particular, we examine the possibility of creating scalable algorithms that use only a constant number of buuers per node. Minimal, scalable, deadlock-free routing algorithms are known for many important networks includin...
